My spreader operates at 1000RPM PTO — is the EP-AG135 compatible?

No. The EP-AG135 is rated for 540RPM PTO input. Operating at 1000RPM would result in disc speeds of 1000RPM — nearly double the calibrated application speed. The centrifugal force at 1000RPM disc speed would throw fertiliser significantly further than the spreader's calibrated working width and in a flatter trajectory, causing serious over-application in the outer zones and potential field boundary contamination. Additionally, the gear and bearing loads at 1000RPM at 50HP would exceed the design specification. If your tractor uses 1000RPM PTO for spreader operation, contact Korea Ever-Power — there may be a speed-reduction adapter option or a different specification model for your requirement.

What gear oil does the EP-AG135 use and how often should it be changed in fertiliser spreader service?

SAE 90 GL-4 gear oil, approximately 250–300ml. Because fertiliser spreaders are used seasonally — typically 200–600 hours per year spread across spring and autumn application campaigns — we recommend changing the gear oil at the start of each season rather than at fixed hour intervals. The seasonal change removes any water or fertiliser-acid contamination that has accumulated during the previous season's wash-downs. At each seasonal oil change, inspect the drain oil: milky oil (water) or unusual odour (fertiliser acid) indicates a seal failure that needs immediate attention before the new season begins.

Can the EP-AG135 be used as a single-output gearbox by blocking one output shaft?

Mechanically possible but not recommended. If one output shaft is blocked (by not fitting a disc hub and leaving the shaft unused), all 50HP input torque is carried by one output gear mesh instead of being shared equally between two. The gear mesh on the active side will carry double its designed load, significantly accelerating wear. The bearing on the blocked-shaft side will also experience abnormal thrust loads from the unbalanced gear mesh. If you need a single-output drive, the EP-68° or an appropriate mower-series gearbox is the correct specification.

How do I remove a stuck disc hub from the cone-base spline shaft?

Cone-base spline hubs can seize on the shaft taper if fertiliser residue has caused fretting corrosion on the contact faces — particularly with ammonium nitrate or calcium ammonium nitrate products. Do not use an impact hammer directly on the hub — this can crack the hub or damage the shaft taper. Use a dedicated hub puller designed for the cone taper dimension of your spreader's disc hubs. Before the next fitting, clean the shaft taper and hub bore thoroughly, apply a light coat of copper-based anti-seize compound, and ensure the hub retaining nut is correctly torqued. What warranty and shipping options apply to the EP-AG135?

12-month warranty from dispatch against manufacturing defects covering both output sides: housing defects, gear tooth failure within 50HP rated load on both outputs simultaneously, bearing failure not caused by water contamination or oil starvation, and seal defects present at delivery. Not covered: water ingress caused by pressure-washing with disc hubs removed, operation at 1000RPM input, fertiliser corrosion damage to external surfaces (a maintenance item), or single-output operation causing overload on one gear mesh.
