Anatomy of the System: How It Works

The Central Gearbox is the “brain” of the power harrow. Located centrally on the implement frame, it performs three critical functions:

  • 1. Power Splitting: For folding power harrows (4m to 7m width), typical in large Korean reclamation projects, the central gearbox splits the PTO input power laterally to drive the two wing sections.
  • 2. Torque Multiplication: It reduces the high-speed input (1000 RPM) to a lower, high-torque output (300-400 RPM) capable of shattering compacted clay clods.
